Specialist Knowledge for Teaching Mathematics - Teaching Assistants in Special Schools
This programme is designed for teaching assistants who are supporting maths, and who would like to develop their specialist knowledge for teaching maths. This programme is designed to improve the subject knowledge and pedagogical knowledge for all practitioners supporting the learning of maths. This may be particularly relevant for new TAs, or TAs who have not received maths-specific training.

Regional Special Schools Teaching for Mastery Community
Collaborative support for teachers developing maths teaching in special school settings. This community is open to teachers in special schools that are currently engaged in one of the Maths Hubs’ national programmes.
Participation is optional and free. Teachers do not need to commit additional time beyond the two twilight webinars, though they are encouraged to contribute to the dedicated online community.

Our aim
The core purpose of the hub is to help schools and colleges lead improvement in mathematics education across the region. We seek to harness all the maths leadership and expertise within the area, to develop and spread excellent practice, for the benefit of all pupils and students.
