Community Dates 2026.27

First event for 2026.27 Thursday November 19th from 4-5.15 ONLINE

Join this term's Post-16 Maths Community meeting and connect with A Level Maths and Core Maths teachers and lecturers from across Devon and Cornwall.

The Community provides a valuable opportunity to share effective practice, discuss current challenges, hear the latest developments, and connect with colleagues teaching post-16 mathematics across the region. Exchange ideas, learn from peers, and stay informed about developments in A Level Maths and Core Maths.

This term's meeting will focus on how different schools and colleges support A Level Maths students who achieved a grade 6 or low grade 7 at GCSE, alongside reflections on the most recent A Level Maths examinations from representatives of AQA, OCR and Pearson. Attendees will also receive updates on opportunities and developments relevant to post-16 mathematics.

Whether looking for practical strategies, insights from awarding organisations, or the opportunity to connect with colleagues facing similar challenges, participants will find a supportive and collaborative space for professional discussion.

More dates to be confirmed throughout the academic year -  watch this space!

Our aim

The core purpose of the hub is to help schools and colleges lead improvement in mathematics education across the region. We seek to harness all the maths leadership and expertise within the area, to develop and spread excellent practice, for the benefit of all pupils and students.
